The Idea Started at Home
“It began with one simple question.”
The idea for The Hindi Lab began with a question I asked myself as a parent.
How could children practise Hindi a little every day, even when family life was busy?
Like many parents in Singapore, we wanted our children to feel confident in Hindi. School provided the foundation, and many families, including ours, explored Hindi tuition and other ways to support learning. Yet I often felt that the biggest challenge wasn't finding another lesson. It was finding a way to make Hindi part of everyday life.
Between school, homework, activities and work, evenings disappeared quickly. Hindi was often the subject we planned to come back to later.
Over time, I realised that confidence in Hindi, whether for school, the PSLE or everyday use, isn't built through last-minute preparation. It grows through small, regular moments of practice.
That simple question stayed with me.
It eventually became The Hindi Lab.
